Looking For Podcasts, 'Zines, Blogs or Clubs For Reviews
Hi all,

I'm posting this in a couple of places, so I figure I ought to post it here too. As you know if you've read my last few posts, after an unplanned period out of print, we've now got a second printing of Game Night out (same as the first, but with some typos fixed and a bunch of quotes at the front) and have a stack of review copies waiting to be sent out.

But no-one to send them to.

So I'm looking for people/organisations I could send the book to for a review. This could be 'zines and podcasts (either gaming or SF/Fantasy), reasonably well-read blogs, and even games clubs, where there's a fair number of members.

Do you have a favourite 'zine or podcast you think I should be contacting? If so, please post a comment with their details here and I'll drop them a line.

Alternatively, if you'd like to nominate yourself, then either post a comment with the relevant details here, or drop me a line at gamenight@jonnynexus.com giving:

a) details of where you plan to post the review;

b) a postal address (anywhere in the world) to post it to.

I'd be very grateful for any and all suggestions.

I should stress there's no catch here, or hidden agenda, beyond the obvious one. I've got a book I'm trying to sell, and as part of that I want to get as many reviews (and since I think it's a good book, I'm hoping they'll be broadly good ones) published as I can.

Thanks,

Jonny

I read mightygodking.com, and would approach the owner with a review request if I was in your position. I'm not sure how wide the audience is, but its probably a different audience than you'd get access to otherwise, and one that would be likely to be interested.

Cool, thanks. Had a quick browse and that looks like the sort of thing I'm interested in (well one of them, in this case well-read geeky blogs that I'd never be able to find with a Google search). Thanks.

How about Boing boing? They do books and sometimes rpg-related stuff and have even mentioned James Wallis once.

What kind of audience size are you looking for? My own podcast only has about 100 listeners so it's probably too small.

One of the bigger book review podcasts I know of is Dragon Page: Cover to Cover, which is also broadcast on XM satellite, which is probably more what you're looking for. You can find them here:

No, 100 listeners is enough. If you drop me a line to jonnynexus@criticalmiss.com giving me your address, I'll send you a copy.

And Dragon Page looks interesting. I'll drop them a line.
