It's well known that at each Eurovision Song Content, Greece awards Cyprus 12 points and Cyprus awards Greece 12 points. This situation has continued, even after the introduction of telephone voting in 1998. Before that, when the scores were awarded by juries, we could believe that it was institutional corruption. Now we know that it is a societal corruption.

Greece has awarded the Cypriot entry 12 points in every single Eurovision since 1995 where they were both entered.

So here's my thought.

Take a greek-speaking TV crew to the streets of Athens, asking passers by if: a) they voted in the last few Eurovisions; and b) if they voted for Cyprus each time. Obviously, you're going to find quite a few people who always vote for Cyprus.

You then whip out a bible (remember that this is quite a religious country) and ask them to swear on the lives of their families that in every single case in which they voted for Cyprus, they genuinely thought it was the best song.

And then watch them squirm.
